"It Is Well With My Soul" is a reflective hymn written in 1876. Horatio Spafford wrote this in a time of great pain in his life. The Great Chicago Fire in 1871 destroyed much of his property investments and left him broke. He was hit even harder by the economic downturn of 1873.

Ahead of a planned family trip to Europe in 1873, Spafford had to stay behind to attend to some business. He sent his four daughters and his wife ahead. Their ship collided with another vessel and sank. He received word from his wife via this short telegram: “Saved alone…”

As he later travelled to meet his wife, he was inspired to write this hymn as a painful meditation when his own ship passed over the location where his daughters lost their lives.

Whether in times of peace or turmoil, God is always available to take our hand and help us through life's challenges and adventures. At CBCF, we'll help you discover a personal relationship with God that will calm your fears, restore your hope and replenish your joy! You too can know that it is "well with your soul!"

Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Central Bucks Christian Fellowship's website. We hope it provides you with valuable information about our family of believers. While you'll gain information on this site, there's nothing like visiting in person. We would love to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our neighbor.

Our Mission

We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our church. Our goal is to be fully devoted to Jesus as defined in the Scriptures. We strive to show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

Weddings

Our sanctuary offers a quaint  setting for your most sacred celebration. Call for rental details! During this "pandemic season", the number of guests are restricted and the CDC's guidelines for social distancing are strictly obeserved.

Welcome Back!

So excited to be back worshipping the Lord each Sunday, in person! While the Covid 19 Virus continues to be a cause of concern and caution, we believe we've learned a lot over the last two years. So, we ask everyone to practice common safety protocols.  We encourage anyone with symptoms to remain at home. If you have tested positive, the CDC recommends a 5 day quarantine. Our Sunday morning service starts at 10:30am...and lasts for approximately 1 hour.

This Month's Sermons

Pastor Jerry has been ministering from God's Word on Biblical Praise.  The Scriptures speak about 'Praise' more than a thousand times. Genuine praise requires the 'Prerequisite' of having accepted Christ's invitation to make him both our Savior and Lord.  The "Prelude" to genuine praise is Thanksgiving...while the "Posture" of praise is diverse: singing, shouting, clapping, kneeling, lifting hands, and etc. Who should learn to praise God?  The Psalmist writes "Let everything that hath breath, praise the Lord!"
